Two days after June left, my friends from Launceston came over to Hobart for a visit. We had a wonderful time catching up with one another. Yoke Chye, Linda, Er Li and Cheng Ngai stayed over at my place for one night. The next day, Yoke Chye brought us to Gordan Dam. It was a winding 2 hours drive and I simply had to thank Yoke Chye for his effort to bring us to this wonderful place even though he has been there before.
The look from the dam itself.
The Dam (Sounds like some kind of movie title)
Er Li and I were discussing about the potential of this place being used for a movie.
We were discussing along this line.
1. Zombies crawling from all over the mountains reaching for you
2. Bad guys chasing you as you attempt to escape from their clutches.
3. You running from one point to the other as the dam collapses.
4. Godzilla breaking the dam as water gushes in (Er Li thought of this one)
The other fun part of the dam was the sound revibrations made when you shout across the dam.
We were clapping our hands, hitting the metal poles, screaming, making animal noises, shouting and singing. I couldn't resist singing and belted out parts of "somewhere over the rainbow", "You raised me up" and "I dreamed a dream". Hahahaa..
No!!! Susan boyle didn't visit Gordan Dam. Jonathan Boy did.. hahaa
One last look of the Gordan Dam.. Ahhhh..
Part of the forest were submerged under water due to the flooding caused by the dam. The canopy of the trees appeared as some kind of island collectively.
