Friends

God has His way of revealing life truths to us. I've learnt today that friendship is a very fragile and vulnerable thing. I have absolutely no difficulty on understanding the verse on "dying for a good man". I often try my best imagining dying for my friend and have no problem with it. But today, something struck me, I was turned down by my friend when I requested for a very very simple task to be done (in comparison to dying for a friend). I am not angry, but instead I thank God for revealing to me how deep my Father's love is to me. I thank God for showing that not everyone thinks the same the way you think about them.
Because of this incident, I was able to relate to a brother-in-Christ who was going through hard times better.

Country Club

Hahaha... Seki and Sarah said that they have never been to the Casino in Launceston before and I thought that it wouldn't be a complete Lonnie experience if I dun get to see it.. Hence, we decided that we shall go and have a look see.
Actually, it is called Launceston Country Club.. In my opinion, it is one of the nicest infrastructure you can get in Launceston liao. haha.

Praise God

Yeah.. Praise God..I finally passed my driving test.. Sigh.. After so much questioning and anguish. It has been close to a year and there many times when I questioned God on why I kept failing my test. I guess He has his reasons for it.. In His time.. In His time.... He makes all things beautiful in His time..

Ok.. here's some details on my test. hahaha..

I went to the test centre with Sarah and Seki. Upon reaching the counter, I saw the familar face that failed me the past 2 times. Arghhh.. I was reluctant to move forward and waited to see whether there will be any other testers coming. Ahhhhh.. I was supposed to report 15 minutes earlier but I waited till it was 2 mins before the test. I reluctantly walked forward and greeted him. He grined and said sheeplishly " Hi.. How are you? It has been a long time since I last saw you". In my heart I was like " Shit.. How come he remember me..!! Arghhh". But I smiled and replied.." Yeah.. I just finished my major exams yesterday". :)
Well... we walked to the car and he looked at my car and said.. "Its the same car again???" I agreed and said " Yeah... It is.. I know its a lousy car but I will be changing it next year" .. He replied "Fair enough".

We hit the road and went on our way. Throughout the journey.. He was ticking and crossing on the evaluation sheet and I had to keep telling myself.. "Dun bother" Just drive.. * Tension.
And then there goes my car again... All the "Cricket" sound and "Hungry Dinosaur" started like a prehistoric Symphonic and I could sense he was abit annoyed and irritated. He bought me to this really steep and long slope.. I think 3 times as steep as what you can get in Singapore driving circuit.. As my car move upwards in gear 2.. It started to clutter... * A sign of wrong gear selection. I moved down to gear 1 and it started to drag and screech.. Arghhhhhhhhhh..And no.. I didn't hold on to the clutch so it is not the clutch problem. It's the car problem.. Anyway, I swap to gear 2 again and it started cluttering which of course gives me no choice but to move down to gear 1 again. hahaa..

At the parallel parking station, he commented that I parked my car like a monster on the road.. I think he was just exaggerating la.. Not so bad la.. Just not close enough to the curb and not as parallel. hahaa..

Anyway.. After the whole test.. I was really apprehensive. I was like praying.. " God.. pls.. help me to pass".. cause he was like giving me crossess all over.. Oh.. no... then I tried to defend myself and gave excuses.. Eventually.. He said.. I passed and I was like " Haaahhhhhhhhhhh" in my super high pitch falsetto voice. Hahaha.. And He stretch out his hand and congratulated me.. ....He told me "See you on the road sometimes but make sure you behave yourself.. Hahaa.. I told him I will..

Hehee. After the whole test, I had this terrible gastric pain and I had to eat up 5 pieces of Mylanta.. (gastric sweet). We went to charcoal chicken for lunch and I didn't really have appetite to eat.. After lunch, we went to catch "Hairspray" the movie.. I know this movie have been out really really long ago.. but as you can see.. Uni life in Tassie is simply too overwhelming.. None of us had the time then..
ANyway.. the movie was fantastic.. Just my kind of show.. Highly recommended. Hehehe. and I love the songs.. Ooooooooo..

Last paper

Yipee!!!!!! :)Last paper down and I am done...I really thank God for bringing me through this period of revision time. I feel an inch closer to Him, even though it only a period of 2 weeks. Oooooooo.. Its like a routine where I started each morning's revision with Him and ended the night by thanking Him. Asking Him to seal all that I have revised in me and claiming wisdom from Him every time I am faced with a problem.
Praise God.. Praise God.. Praise Him in the morning, Praise Him in the noon time. I simply can't imagine going through all these without Him. I know I am weak and I know that I am imperfect. But that's the reason why I need Him more that you do.. :P

Exam fever

As I approached my last 2 papers, it started to dwell on me the declaration that I made this year. Yes.. That my results will be bring glory to God. To be honest, I don't think I did my best this semester and I felt that it could be better. I guess it just didn't started right the way I wanted it to be and it kind of "snowballed" down. BUT.. but......

"But let him who boasts, boast about this: that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord, who excercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight, " declares the Lord.

Yes... I will boast in the Lord, my God, the Maker of heaven and earth.

Sushi night

We had our first sushi buffet in Launceston last night. I must say that the food was pretty good (minus the MSG). Most importantly of all, I enjoyed the company and it was really funny to have 4 guys sitting opposite 4 girls. No special meaning behind it since we are all friends. Exams drawing nearer and my revision are no where near completion.. help!

Exam timetable

Looking at this screen makes me happy...

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Why? Well.. simply because the exam period officially finishes on the 13th of November, while my last paper is on the 5th.. Which means I have a few days to rest before I proceed for my work experience..
On the other hand, I am abit perplexed with the time I have for revising. As you can see, each paper is pretty close to one another in terms of the dates. I am worried that I might not be able to do my revision on time. Nevertheless, I have posted up the dates. SO prayer warriors and prayer servants. Please pray.. I do still believe in prayers even though I have failed countless times. And no.. prayers doesn't give me a sense of affirmation, it gives me a sense of submission.

Mooncakes

The family had a mini moon cake festival celebration tonight.. We just couldn't miss out on what other students are experiencing on the mainland. Hehee.
So we ordered our own lotus paste plain mooncake. It was easy cause none of us like those with egg yolks in it.
Chinese Jasmine tea with Mooncakes. That's the way to go.. I was tempted to play with candles, but my housemates were not keen due to cold weather. Playing candles indoor wasn't an option either.

It was interesting how different topics can come about eating mooncakes.

Anyway, here are some pictures of the moon cakes and tea...

If there is..

If there is anything worth mentioning about this semester.. It will be the field trips that we're getting. I will be going on a field trip to a salmon farm at Wayatinah. This time round, not so much about the fish but rather the different systems used to culture it. Before I proceed with my rambling... Here are some photos of the trip down to Marine Research Centre (MRL) at Hobart.

If you see carefully.. you will be able to see the phyllosoma (larval) stage of the lobster. They are transparent looking and look pretty much like a spider. NEAT!

Adult Striped Trumpter. Trumpters are considered as one of the top fish meat in Australia. Known for its excellent taste and texture and I totally agree with it. I had the opportunity to eat Fish and Chips made of Striped Trumpter during our Maria Island trip earlier this year. Excellent! Cost wise.. a bit pricey.. if not I will make it my staple protein source. Hahaa
