Next featured gift

The next featured gift was from someone significant in my life too.. I've know this guy for close to 80% of my life, though we are not related to each other by blood. We been through the same kindergarden school, same tuition centre during our primary school, same class during secondary school, same bunk during BMT in the army. Even our parents were blown away by the fact that we are in the same bunk then. I believe God has a major role to play in this..

Well.. Very soon.. we left for our studies.. He went to UK and I came to Aussie. During his first year in Aussie, He sent a very special gift to each of us (the close friends). I can remember very clearly him telling me that he bought the gift for me so that I can measure the length of my fish tanks.. Such a witty remark.. More like measuring the thickness of my waist.. !!! muhahaa..

It has been two years since we last met and I am so looking forward to our gathering in December.. Yes.. 4 of us.!! This time round, hopefully nothing goes wrong.. * Fingers crossed and prayers made.

Yes... You figure it out.. Its a measuring tape..

Before you wonder what's so special about the gift.... !!?? Well.. It wasn't given intentionally.. You bet it wasn't...

Apparently, he left it accidentally in the plastic bag which bore the gift. The plastic bag was from Ikea.. Hmmm.. that should give you a clue now.. Something related to furnitures.. eh.. hahaha.

Upon reaching Tasmania, I received a sms from him apologizing for the item and hoping that it didn't cause me too much trouble.. Nope. It didn't! Infact, no one detected it.. Hahaha. Not even the sensor.. I was astonished by the sms and searched frantically for the item. I couldn't hold back but to burst into laughter.. *LOL

Well..... for the revealing of the mysterious gift...

It was a :

Well.. the screw came with a box of highlighters... (which I will feature in future post)

I'm sure he doesn't mean what he accidentally gave.. :P

Kids Club

During my time in Launceston. I was privilege enough to be involved in a community outreach organized by Zion Hill church. Basically, it was part of the church's programme to inculcate moral values into the children of the community. Children were taught against crimes and provided with food, singing, games and etc. It's interesting to observe the behaviour of each children and how lovely and smart some are.
This programme is held every Thursday evening and is known as Kid's Club..
Here're 3 pictures, where the kids were fed with pop corns and icing sugar.. These 2 girls are simply adorable.
She had icing sugar all over her la..

This kitty girl looks really adorable ...I told her to pose like a cat.

And she came up with this pose.. Meow!

And so as the story goes, there was a boy who had been enchanted by the sound of broadway musicals since the age of 10. It started off with "Les Miserables"~ followed by the "Phantom of the Opera". One after another, these musicals became a part of his life and music inspiration and had influenced his style of singing. He knew that it will never be possible for him to sing in a broadway production. Nevertheless, that did not stop his pursue of watching all the musicals. "Miss Saigon", "West-side story", "Wedding Banquet", one after another..
On one faithful night, as he was chatting with his friend on what musicals to watch. He got to know about "Wicked". Despite of the constraint in time and finance, he finally made the decision to fly to Melbourne city for the show. He already knew that it was going to be GOOD.

Even the newspaper is talking about it.

Splendid!!!

It was a full house!!! Woohoo...

Not very happily after the show, we had to run all the way back to our accomodation to catch the last bus.
